Verizon Wireless provides one of the largest and most dependable wireless networks in the nation. Verizon Wireless now offers Prepay Wireless services.
The Verizon Prepaid “Basic Plan” with 25 cents per minute and no daily access charge. This plan is not a good value when you compare to other prepay plans. This is the best plan to add the text packages to if you only use the phone for texting.
Net10.com for 10 cents a minute or Tracfone.com. from 6.6 cents up to 33 cents a minute are less expensive alternatives.

The Prepaid Core Plan charges 99 cents per day for access and calls are 10 cents per minute. Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless cell phones are free. The Prepaid Plus Plan is $1.99 per day access and charges 5 cents per minute. This plan also includes Unlimited night and weekend minutes (starting at 9 p.m.) and Unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless phones all day.
The Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Talk Plan offers Unlimited minutes and one-cent text messages for $3.99 per day.

How Adding Verizon Prepaid Service Time Operates
If you have 20 days left on your service and you put $15 you will only have 30 days of service after the addition. If you have 40 days of service left and you add a$15 payment you will still only have 40 days of service left. Verizon does not add your remaining service to what you purchase, you get the larger of either your remaining service time or the additional service time.

Tracfone has two yearly plans to choose from. They offer a $100 yearly minute card which includes 400 minutes (800 using Double Minutes for Life.
